The “Organic Superfoods” are not a substitute for your daily plate of vegetables, but rather what they are: a clever, low-sugar alternative to conventional sweets. When we crave something fruity, we can reach for a natural micronutrient snack that gently provides the body with trace elements instead of burdening it with industrial sugar.

The Fact Check: What's in it and what does science say?

Vitamins & Zinc:

• In the product: 12 mg Vitamin C, 1.5 mg Zinc and 30 µg Folic Acid from natural extracts (rosehip, guava, lemon), which each constitute 15% of the recommended daily allowance (NRV).
• Official Recommendation (BfR): Recommends maximum amounts of 6.5 mg zinc and 200 µg folic acid for supplements.
• The finding: Scientifically speaking, the amounts in the gummies are absolutely safe and very gently dosed. We all remain well below these critical limits and do not overload our bodies.
• Researchers in sports medicine administered 1,000 mg of Vitamin C daily in combination with 400 IU of Vitamin E to young men – but surprisingly found that this mega-dose blocked the healthy adaptation of muscles to exercise.

16-fold Vegetable Variety:

• In the product: A mixture of, among others, broccoli, spinach, beetroot, ginger, and carrot.
• Scientific Studies: Science and nutrition research celebrate precisely these plants for their valuable secondary plant compounds and antioxidants. Of course, two fruit gummies cannot contain the amount of a real salad, but it is a nice natural bonus.
• In large nutrition studies at Oxford University, the administration of a high-dose vitamin B complex (including folic acid) over two years almost completely stopped age-related brain shrinkage in test subjects.
• A US research group at Arizona State University, for example, recommends a daily dose of 25 micrograms of Vitamin B12 for pregnancy prevention.

Sugar & Calories:

• In the product: 17.6 kcal and a negligible 0.8 g sugar (from plant-based oligosyrup).
• The finding: Excellent for daily consumption, especially if we are mindful of blood sugar levels.
